Art in the Park is an initiative by the Springdale Public Library to make local art more accessible and showcase the talent in Northwest Arkansas. The Springdale Public Library has gallery space available for artists and crafts persons to exhibit, and for patrons to have an enriched library experience. Space is available on an equitable basis to qualified individuals or groups. Artists currently living in or near Northwest Arkansas will be given priority.
Interested artists must submit:
- A concept statement regarding the works submitted for review.
- Images of 10-15 works, depending on size, including title, medium, and dimensions. Artists can direct committee to web-based images and descriptions of the artwork to be considered.
- All material must be included to be considered.
- Press information the artist will be submitting about the exhibit.
For further details, please review our Exhibition Guidelines.
If approved for display, staff will work with the artist to compete a Contract for an Art Exhibition.
Exhibition Space
The gallery has a display area hung with slat-boards 16 feet long and 7 feet high. The slats are 3 inches wide. The space is best suited to works wired across the back or those that will work with our hooks. All artists are strongly encouraged to visit the library and review the gallery space available.
