Teen summer programs meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:30 pm (unless otherwise stated). Lunch will be available for noon programs. All programs are FREE - registration is required each week. Applicants must be attending sixth through twelfth grade in Fall 2012 and capable of volunteering several hours a week. Duties include assisting librarians with activities associated with the children's summer reading program.

Dr. Ed Mink of the U of A Health Center will motivate
you to get fit with full body exercises.
June 13: A Taste of Home
Dr. Cynthia Haseloff from Mae Farm will give you
a taste of what life was like in rural 1920’s Arkansas.
Thursday, June 21, 10:00 am: Civil War Reenactment with the
Washington County Historical Society
Join us for a play by the Yeager sisters and a celebration
of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. (All Ages)

Thursday, July 26, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm: End-of-Summer Celebration
Teen Summer Volunteers will assist with games, snacks,
balloon animals, face paint and cleanup!
The 2012 Summer Inklings Teen Writing group will meet on Tuesdays, 5:00 pm, June 7 - July 11.
If you have a yen to write, this is the group for you. Led by library staff member and published author Brad Carter, Inklings writes, reads, and publishes their works in the quarterly Inklings journal that is available for checkout in the YA area!
