Mollie started her career as a therapy dog when she was only one year old at Springdale Health and Rehab. Since then, she has been a regular at the Maples Nursing and Rehab Center and the Veterans' Hospital in Fayetteville, where she spends time with the patience in the paliative care ward. The nurses and staff of all of the facilities that Mollie visits do their best to spoil her, quite successfully. Mollie spends about 1 1/2 to 2 hours at the Veterans' Hospital every other Sunday.

She was also the "reading dog" at St Raphael's Catholic School for about 3 years until the school closed. Mollie went every week and children (one at a time) went to the library and read to Mollie. This was a favorite of Mollie's, because she loved the kids. She also got to spend a recess with them most weeks.

About 3 years ago she started visiting Flippo's Adult Day Care in Johnson. She goes once a month and enjoys the attention and petting that she gets there.

Mollie and Miss Connie belong to a group of therapy teams in Rogers named "Helping Paws". In this group, Mollie is able to go to fun events with other therapy teams and let people learn about therapy dogs and what they do.

Mollie is now 12 years old but doesn't seem to be ready to slow down much. You'll see Mollie at the Springdale Library on certain Wednesdays, taking a nap while listening to her beloved children read to her or just sit and pet her cuddly brown fur. She will probably beg for a tummy rub!
